Masters in Global Nursing Leadership Scholarship 2027 – University of Global Health Equity

The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is inviting applications for the Masters in Global Nursing Leadership (MGNL) Program – Class of 2027. This fully funded, two-year graduate program prepares registered nurses to become leaders in global health equity and healthcare innovation.

Program Overview

Offered through UGHE’s Center for Nursing and Midwifery, the MGNL program provides nurses with advanced training to address systemic healthcare challenges. The curriculum blends 80% online coursework with in-person learning at UGHE’s Butaro campus in Rwanda, making it accessible to professionals worldwide.

Scholarship Benefits

Selected scholars will receive a 100% tuition waiver along with:

  • On-campus housing and meals
  • Funding for academic activities (such as field trips)
  • Travel support to and from UGHE for in-person sessions
  • International travel and visa expense coverage
  • Accommodation and meals outside UGHE’s campus
  • Scholars are responsible for personal expenses, including toiletries and internet access.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet both UGHE’s graduate admissions standards and MGNL-specific requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution
  • 5–7 years of nursing experience
  • Active RN licensure without restrictions
  • A letter of support from their employer
  • Two professional reference letters
  • A detailed CV
  • A statement of purpose outlining their leadership aspirations
  • Notarized academic transcripts
  • English language proficiency certification
  • Successful completion of an entrance exam and interview

International applicants must also obtain an HEC equivalency certificate in Rwanda.
