The Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF) is now accepting applications for the 2024/2025 National Anti-Racism Fund. Launched in 2022, this initiative has awarded close to $8 million in funding to over 400 organizations across Canada. For this upcoming round, $2 million will be distributed to support anti-racism initiatives nationwide.
The fund is designed to support projects that combat systemic racism in Canada, encourage the production and accessibility of evidence-based research, shape public policy, and foster cross-cultural dialogue on race and religion. Previous projects funded by the National Anti-Racism Fund have included diverse approaches such as art initiatives, educational programs, support services, campaigns, and more.
Objectives:
- Dismantle systemic racial barriers.
- Conduct meaningful research and provide educational resources.
- Raise awareness and understanding of racial issues.
- Build and strengthen cultural and intercultural connections within communities.
Grant Details:
- Grants ranging from $25,000 to $125,000 are available.
Eligibility:
- Open to registered Canadian charities, non-profits, First Nations, Inuit, Métis organizations, public institutions, and labour organizations.
Application Process:
- To be considered, applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by October 31, 2024, at 11:59 PM EST. Projects should be scheduled to take place between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026.
- Successful EOI applicants will be notified by late November 2024 and will then be invited to submit a full application, which will be due within a 5-6 week period from late November 2024 to early January 2025.

- English session: October 9, 2024, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm EST.
- French session: October 10, 2024, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm EST.
