Are you passionate about transforming Africa’s agrifood systems through data-driven solutions? The Young Impact Associates (YIA) – Agriculture Focus Fellowship 2025 provides young African professionals with the opportunity to contribute to impact measurement and sustainable agricultural development.
This one-year program is designed to equip emerging leaders with essential skills to drive meaningful change in agrifood systems. The fellowship is supported by a consortium of organizations, including CIFOR-ICRAF, African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD), African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), and Akademiya2063.
Program Benefits
- Fellows will receive a monthly stipend throughout the 12-month program.
- Additional non-financial benefits will be detailed at the start of the fellowship.
- Graduates of the program will join the Mastercard Foundation global alumni network, gaining access to a broad community of changemakers across Africa.
Eligibility Requirements
- Open to citizens of Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda currently residing in Africa.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Open to individuals who are employed full-time, part-time, self-employed, studying, or currently unemployed.
- Strong command of both written and spoken English is required.
- Must hold at least a diploma or bachelor’s degree in fields such as social sciences, agricultural sciences, economics, data sciences, environmental and climate science, international development, policy, or governance.
- Demonstrated interest in impact measurement and commitment to data-driven decision-making.
- Must be available for full-time participation throughout the 12-month program.
