Scholarship Benefits

The Silk Road Scholarship covers full tuition fees, on-campus accommodation, medical insurance, and a monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for master’s students and CNY 3,500 for doctoral candidates). Eligible Programs and Languages

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with excellent academic performance.
• Candidates must be under 35 years old for master’s programs and under 40 for doctoral programs.
• Applicants should be in good health, have no criminal record, and not be recipients of other scholarships.
• Language requirements:
  • Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 with a minimum score of 260.
  • English-taught programs: IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, or TOEFL score of 85 or above.
  • Native speakers or graduates from Chinese/English medium institutions may qualify for a language requirement exemption.

Application Process and Timeline

The application deadline is May 20, 2025. Applications must be submitted through CSU’s online platform and the CSC portal. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to pay application and review fees. Final admission results will be announced by July 31, 2025. Successful applicants will receive electronic admission letters and visa forms, with enrollment set for early September 2025.
