OPEC Fund for International Development Internship Program 2025

The OPEC Fund for International Development is now accepting applications for its Internship Program 2025. This program is an excellent opportunity for students from a wide range of academic backgrounds to work with an internationally recognized organization. Spanning three to six months, the program is designed to:

  • Offer a structured support system that places students in various OPEC Fund departments, ensuring a rich, educational experience.
  • Provide an immersive work environment where interns can gain hands-on experience within an international framework.
  • Enable participants to grasp the fund’s overarching vision, mission, and fundamental values.

Interns will be assigned to departments according to their personal interests, academic qualifications, and the current needs of the organization. The internship offers placements in diverse areas including public sector operations, trade and private finance, financial management, risk assessment, strategic planning and economic services, internal auditing, human resource management, administrative support, communication, legal affairs, and information technology.

Internship Duties:

  • Carrying out research projects.
  • Drafting and editing documents.
  • Systematically organizing data and information.
  • Providing assistance with daily operational tasks.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants should be between the ages of 19 and 25.
  • Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program (with at least two years completed) or a graduate program; recent graduates (within one year of completion) are also eligible.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills in Arabic, French, German, or Spanish are considered beneficial.
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrable interest in the mission and work of the OPEC Fund.
  • Ability to function effectively in a diverse, international work setting.
  • Must reflect the OPEC Fund’s core values, including Integrity, Empowerment, Excellence, Innovation, and Community.
