The Danish Data Science Academy (DDSA) invites applications for its Postdoc Fellowship Call 2025, aimed at fostering the careers of promising young researchers in data science. Six prestigious two-year fellowships, each valued at DKK 1.3 million (+ 5% administrative costs), are available to support innovative and impactful research projects in collaboration with Danish institutions.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicant Criteria

  • Must hold a PhD degree or have a thesis accepted for defense by June 1, 2025.
  • PhD must have been obtained within the last 6 years (excluding documented parental leave).
  • Proficiency in oral and written English is required.
  • Must secure a two-year agreement with a Danish host institution to support the research project.
  • Encouraged to conduct research at an institution different from where the PhD was earned, to foster independence.

Research Project Criteria

  • Should align with DDSA’s broad data science scope, including theoretical research, method development, or innovative applications.
  • Must demonstrate the potential for significant impact or novel uses of data science.
  • Must adhere to the research scope of the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Host Institution Requirements

  • Must be a Danish research institution.
  • Must provide a formal statement of support for the applicant.
