GSK is offering three scholarships to support the development of future leaders in global health, specifically focusing on strengthening healthcare systems and health research in sub-Saharan Africa.
Benefits:
- Three scholarships available for the 2025-2026 academic year
- Each scholarship covers:
- Full tuition fees, including mandatory field trip fees (if applicable)
- Tax-free stipend (living allowance) of £22,000.00
Eligibility:
- Be a citizen and resident of a sub-Saharan African country
- Demonstrate a clear intent to return to sub-Saharan Africa upon completion of your MSc studies
- Unable to finance the proposed program without this scholarship (demonstrated through the application portal)
- Meet the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine’s (LSHTM) minimum English language requirements
- Hold a first degree with a first-class or upper-second-class equivalency
- Have an offer of admission for a one-year, full-time, London-based MSc program at LSHTM for the 2025-2026 academic year
- Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated potential to significantly contribute to public health and/or health-related research in Africa
Application Process:
The application process involves two steps:
Step 1 (by March 5, 2025, 23:59 GMT):
- Apply for a relevant London-based MSc program at LSHTM for the 2025-2026 academic year, following the instructions provided on the program’s “How to Apply” page.
Step 2 (after successfully submitting your program application):
- You will receive an automated email from the LSHTM Scholarships Team (scholarships@lshtm.ac.uk) containing a link to the online scholarship application portal.
- Search for “GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders” within the portal and complete the online application form.
- Upon submitting your complete application, you will receive a confirmation email.
Important Note:
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
- The LSHTM Scholarships Team will contact applicants regarding the outcome of their application.
