The Canon Collins Trust, in partnership with the Ros Moger and Terry Furlong (RMTF) group, invites applications for postgraduate study scholarships in South Africa for the year 2025. This scholarship honours the legacy of Ros and Terry, inspirational educationalists from London, whose friends and family have raised funds since 2001 to support students in their memory.
What This Scholarship Offer?
- Funding: Scholarships cover up to a maximum of two years for Masters and three years for PhD studies. The scholarship value ranges from R20,000 to R100,000, depending on the student’s circumstances. Both full-time and part-time studies are supported, including distance learning.
- Annual Conference: Scholarship holders are expected to participate in an annual conference and several smaller events throughout the year, becoming part of a network committed to social justice.
Are you eligible?
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be a national of, or have refugee status in, one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, and Zambia.
- Be normally resident in one of the above countries.
- Possess a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or be about to graduate in the year of application.
- Be studying or applying to study at a South African university.
