Job Summary
Support the purchase of goods and services required by the Corporation for project, transactional or corporate use. The procurement intern will also handle administrative duties such as tracking procurement requests and ensuring accurate records are kept up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather market data comprising prices of the entire spectrum of goods and services procured in support of the corporation’s business.
- Maintain a database of prices of goods and rates and fees for services enabling the determination of a company estimate for every procurement transaction.
- Support Management Reporting.
- Collate and report contract performance information across the Corporation.
- Support systemic evaluation of vendor application qualification
Education
- A good Honors degree (BA/BSc) or equivalent.
- An MBA or MA/MSC or equivalent post-graduate degree would be an advantage.
Experience
- Proficiency in the use of SAP Ariba.
- High proficiency in the use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working experience in a Procurement role for 2 to 3 years, preferably in financial institutions or any other relevant organisation
- Fluency in English is required. Other languages are a plus.
